Letters to Cohort II LEAs
Information letter sent via email on October 16, 2014 to Cohort II Superintendents and High School Curriculum Leaders from Dr. Tracy Weeks, Chief Academic and Digital Learning Officer, and Dr. Robin McCoy, Director Curriculum and Instruction.


Information letter sent via email October 12, 2015 to Cohort II Superintendents and High School Curriculum Leaders from Dr. Tiffany Perkins, Director Curriculum and Instruction. Completed course portfolio reviews for Cohort II are now available to LEAs in the NC Education Honors Moodle.




Cohort I 2014


Training Video for Cohort I Portfolio Submission (Posted January 23, 2014)

  • Target Audience: LEA Honors Contacts (up to 7 per district)
  • Contacts must have or create an NC Education account
  • Enrollment in the NC Student Growth Portfolio (NCSGP) Moodle course for Honors Portfolio submission will be provided for those contacts submitted through the Cohort I LEA survey responses submitted by January 29, 2014.

  • Recorded Webinar Training including Question/Answer session - January 31, 2014 1:30-2:30pm is posted in the NC Education Honors Moodle.




Revised Timeline For North Carolina's State-Level Honors Portfolio Review Process


May 1, 2014: Honors portfolios for designated courses submitted through the NC Education "Honors Portfolio/NCSGP" Moodle site.

May 15 - June 5, 2014: Reviewers contracted and trained.

July 30, 2014: Online review of submitted portfolios completed

Fall 2014: Feedback to LEAs
